5 TCM HERBS TO HELP YOUR KID RELIEVE STRESS


Stress is not necessarily a bad thing – a little stress can make you even more motivated and have the ability to cope in a difficult situation. However, too much stress will put a toll on the body. 

In Singapore, education place a lot of focus on children’ academic performance. Many parents often sign their children up for tuitions and other lessons to make sure that their child can perform well in school and does not lose out to others as well.

1. Ginseng

Ginseng is popularly prescribed for its many health benefits. It can be consumed as dried slices for your child to chew on daily to maintain general health. Other than stimulating blood circulation to promote relaxation, ginseng can strengthen your kid’s immune system as well as increase their memory and learning abilities. The taste of ginseng might be too strong for some kids, so you can make ginseng tea and sweeten it with rock sugar or add jujube fruit. 

2. Chamomile

Chamomile can help to reduce inflammation, improve sleep and also relieve anxiety. It has the ability to reduce Adrecorticotropic hormone (ACTH) levels that is induced by stress. Lowering the levels of ACTH levels can help to calm your child down.
